Here’s my story

I want to keep this relatively short, but also give an appreciate of my vision which includes my start in photography. I have always been a lover of wildlife, with birds being a focus in particular. Growing up I raised canaries and finches in an aviary with my dad which really ignited the passion for our feathered friends.

Fast forward 15 years or so, having traveled to multiple countries with a dying point-and-shoot camera, my always generous father offered to get me a new camera for Christmas. I then found out my new girlfriend had a DSLR and had enjoyed taking photos for quiet some time.

I quickly found a love of the technical side of photography, and spent weekends hiking to waterfalls, hunting for mushrooms, or chasing eagles through fields. This became a foundational memory of our relationship. Where I focused on the technical aspects of the hobby, my girlfriend helped me with the creative side, a match made in photography heaven.

Fast forward another 6 years, 4 cameras, a proposal, 1 child and another pregnancy and here I am sharing my story. I have found joy in using my love of photography to share my love of wildlife. Life has changed a lot over this time. I am a full time Sales Executive, and the time running around the country side is limited. My new focus is to share the creatures I do have the time to see, in our parks, zoos, wildlife parks and conservation societies. I see the beauty in these creatures and in the effort and hard work put in by these institutions.

My next photography goal is to share this with you, and through this give back and support each institution that cares for our wildlife. My next personal goal is to help nurture this same love for wildlife, and conservation efforts in my son and daughter.
